New Nokia G20 and Nokia C20 listed before the official launch
|Yesterday, out of the blue, Mr. Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, announced his planned departure from the company at the end of April. However, that does not hinder Nokia Mobile’s plans of hosting its first big launch event of 2021 in any way. Possibly the news was supposed to be revealed in that manner.
Anyhow, as every business demands, the show must go on. And the Russian retailers are here again to shed some light on the show that Nokia Mobile will present on April 8. Their updated catalog now reveals a new Nokia smartphone, the Nokia G20. The device is listed in Blue color with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage.
It will carry the model number TA-1336, which was spotted on TÜV and EEC (Russia) last month. On compiling the details available from the retailers and TÜV, it seems that the Nokia G20 will come with a 5 V, 2 A (10 W) rated charger and will carry the model numbers TA-1336, TA-1343, TA-1347, TA-1365, and TA-1372.
Moving on from the Nokia G20, the catalog now also has the Nokia C20 listed, which first appeared on the HTML5 test site with Android 11. In Russia, the device is listed in blue color with two different storage variants, one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage, while the other has the same amount of RAM but 32 GB of storage.
The Nokia C20 has the model number TA-1352 that was certified just a few days ago by TÜV alongside TA-1356.
If we go by the currently known variants of the Nokia C20, the leap from Nokia C3 to Nokia C20 is possibly just in terms of numbers as the Nokia C3 even has a 3 GB RAM variant. In the end, the Nokia C20 might turn out to be a plus version of the Nokia C2 and not the successor of the Nokia C3.
Not much is known about the Nokia G20. So, for the moment, the Nokia X20 seems to be the showstopper among the smartphones for the April 8 event, if there is not any other smartphone that is yet to mark its existence on the certification or retailer sites.
