Nokia phone maker makes leadership changes in Europe

The company behind new Nokia phones, HMD Global made some changes in their european leadership, per a report posted by mobilenewswp.co.uk.

In the UK and Irelan, Omar Riaz replaced Sarah Edge as the general manager, while she continues her career as regional director of sales for SOTI. Mr. Riaz has been with HMD since 2017, working as the head of UK distribution and sales. Prior joing HMD, he worked at Microsoft, Nokia and Emitac Mobile Solutions.

HMD Global appointed Ruben Lehmann as the Vice President for Europe, replacing Per Ekan in that role who is now chief commercial officer. Mr. Lehmann will be based in Zurich and report directly to HMD’s CEO Florian Seiche. Before joing HMD, he was the CEO of Swiss mobile distributor Autronic AG for 5 years.
