HMD’s Legend pops up on Geekbench

In January, Evleaks revealed that HMD would be bringing two of its own smartphones under the names Pulse and Legend. Both devices will be available in regular and upgraded Plus and Pro versions. Now, the HMD Legend has popped up on Geekbench, and the folks from 91mobiles saw its regular and Pro versions listed.

According to the Geekbench listings, the HMD Legend is a device that will run on an octa-core chipset with a maximum clock speed of 1.61GHz. The chipset comes with a Mali-G57 GPU, which suggests that the processor is most likely the Unisoc T606, previously used in G22 and some older low-end Nokia devices.

The Legend scored 379 in the single-core and 1,370 points in the multi-core test. The most notable aspect seen in the Geekbench test is that it is running Android 14. The Legend Pro version received similar scores in the tests, and the only difference between the regular and Pro versions is the RAM. The regular Legend will come with 4GB of RAM, while the Pro version will have 8GB of RAM.

Although I was able to spot the Legend on Geekbench, its Pro version has likely been removed. Nevertheless, it appears that HMD’s Legend isn’t bringing any surprises to users, but perhaps Pulse can change that.

Anyways, this is what ChatGPT had to say about a Legend, and it wasn’t wrong :). HMD is sticking to a tradition. Let’s see what Pulse is bringing.
