Numerous leaks confirmed that Nokia Mobile is ready to announce new feature phones from the Nokia Original series. If the rumours from June are true, we should be seeing Nokia 5710 XA, Nokia 8210 4G, Nokia 2660 Flip 4G and some basic 2G phones as well. The most interesting phones out of all are the iconic Nokia 8210 and Nokia 5710 which were dream phones in their time. I remember drooling all over the super tiny 8210 when I first saw it, and I must say I’m excited to see how well will Nokia Mobile recreate this top model from 1999. I do hope it wan’t be feeling cheap as the black 6310 version did.
The exact date of the announcement is still not known but it seems that Nokia Mobile itself is teasing the new phone on the official page. If you check the photo above, the phone in the middle does look shaped like the original Nokia 8210, although it has some design similarities with Nokia 225 4G (same camera and speaker grill arrangements). However, the Nokia logo is vertical on this phone and the colour is different, which might suggest this is a new phone coming.
I like the design of the Nokia 225 4G and, besides the Nokia 110 4G (and 3310 2017), I consider it to be one of the best-looking Nokia feature phones that Nokia Mobile released. I am glad to see remnants of the old design which is being improved with some modern lines. Whoever designed these phones, deserves a raise or a promotion to the smartphone division where a propper Nokia design is fading away.
