Hands-on video of HMD Fusion (Roland Quandt)

Roland Quandt recently visited HMD and got a chance to lay hands on their latest low-end midranger, the HMD Fusion and some smart outfits. While the hardware may not be the most powerful from a consumer standpoint, it’s positioned as a solid B2B phone due to its Smart Outfits, which enhance usability and versatility.

Check out the video below.

Quandt mentioned that the build quality is good, and the covers look fine. However, one thing that concerns me is that Quandt tested dummy outfits, not a working model, and users might only get the phone with a basic outfit that offers transparency.

Although HMD announced that additional outfits would be available later this year, it would be smarter to release them alongside the device.

Overall, the Fusion may not be the top phone on the market, but it’s definitely an interesting one. I’d love to see a combination of wireless charging and the Flashy outfit. Another great idea would be to develop a health monitoring outfit capable of measuring heart rate, ECG, SpO2, and other parameters. Perhaps HMD could collaborate with Withings on this.
