Barbie Phone Surpasses Expectations in Popularity
I’m not sure what it is about humans and dolls, but dolls have always held a significant place in human civilization. One of the most iconic dolls in the modern world is undoubtedly Barbie, which has maintained its popularity for decades.
The recent Barbie movie boosted the toy’s fame even further, though I doubt it would have waned without it. However, one thing that had been missing was a proper phone for all the Barbie enthusiasts, and HMD has now announced just that.
The phone itself isn’t particularly special; it’s a Nokia 2660 Flip, a standard S30+ flip phone that offers basic features like calls, SMS, various useful apps, and the classic Snake game. But, dressed in Barbie pink, it has become one of HMD’s more popular feature phones.
The Barbie phone went on sale recently, and it’s already selling out in some online shops. In the UK, where Barbie culture is particularly strong, the phone sold out in just three days. The phone’s popularity is largely due to its impressive packaging, filled with small details that any Barbie fan would love.
The box includes not just the phone, but also two extra back covers, stickers and gem stickers, a beaded lanyard with attachable charms, and a cleaning cloth for the mirror on the front of the phone. Additionally, the box can be used to store Barbie trinkets, gadgets, clothes, and dedicated jewelry.
