Barbie phone coming by the end of August

There are just two more phones HMD has to announce, or at least two. The world is waiting for the HMD Fusion, or the result of the Fusion project, and a Barbie Phone.

Now, leaks suggest the following specs:

HMD TA-1681

• – LCD 2.8″ QVGA Main, 1.77″ Outer
  – 4G LTE, Dual SIM
  – Camera, LED Flash – 48MB + 128MB Storage
  – 1,450mAh battery
  – Colour option: Barbie Pink

HMD revealed a photo of the device and announced it on the 28th of August. However, it is still a question of what format of the phone HMD will be using for its partner, Mattel. We all remember the reused Nokia 2760 Flip 4G as a Boring phone (or 2660, and even 2780, I’m lost), but in a rather exciting transparent shell.

Many think that HMD will use the same format for its Barbie phone, and the photo revealed in the announcement suggests just that.

HMD will reuse the Nokia 2660 Flip 4G but will change the colour to shiny pink, as a proper Barbie phone should be coloured.

The only question here is whether the Barbie phone will be running KaiOS 3.0 or s30+.
