HMD preparing X2 and X20 for African company M-Kopa

An African company, M-Kopa, used to sell Nokia devices to its users. Recently, it partnered with HMD to launch its own phone. The M-Kopa X1 was the first, essentially a rebranded Nokia C32. Now, HMD plans to produce more phones for the M-Kopa brand.

The new M-Kopa X2 and X20 are currently in testing. Both phones appeared on Geekbench and will run Android 14. Interestingly, the X20 model bears no resemblance to the late Nokia X20. The phones rebranded for the African company are the Legend and Legend Pro, essentially the recently announced Pulse and Pulse Pro models (verified by Geekbench).

M-Kopa is still selling Nokia devices like the Nokia G22 or C32, and others, but that will change as those devices age.
