TV drama Made In Finland can be viewed online

Last year, the first news broke about a drama series chronicling the rise and fall of Nokia as a smartphone manufacturer. The project was launched by Rabbit Film, and the production started by the end of 2021. Now the first six episodes of the first season are available to watch.

Actually, the first episode was released in April 2022, but strangely or fortunately, all episodes are now available on Youtube. Unfortunately, the subtitles are not available. The series was filmed in Finnish, and if you do not understand this language, it will be difficult for you to watch.

The first season follows a series of events that led to the development of the Nokia 101, the first successful Nokia device that announced Nokia’s dominance in the (smartphone) market.

The series got a rather high score of 8.2 on IMDb. The score consists of 191 votes given by the IMDb members which is not that low. Probably all of them are Finns or know Finnish which could be a bit biased. However, I did a brief overview of the series and it seems to be nicely produced, so I can’t wait for the subtitles to appear. All the episodes can be found here.

In case you’d like to read more about the rise and fall of Nokia, I do recommend checking these two books (Operatio ElopTransforming Nokia), but there are some TV documentaries (not available anymore), many YouTube videos, newspaper covers, posts from various websites that can shed some light on what happened 10 years ago.
