Nokia 105 now has Africa edition
|Nokia 105 African Edition is the next budget phone announced quietly by Nokia Mobile. The Nokia 105 was redesigned in 2019 and it received a completely revamped design in 2021, but the Africa edition follows the 2019 design. This updated Africa edition is still simple, and completely made of polycarbonate. The phone comes with a 1.77-inch QVGA screen, which is enough to play the 10 preinstalled games (Snake is there too).
Besides the slight changes in the design, the Africa edition of Nokia 105 hasn’t brought any significant hardware changes. The phone supports 2G networks only and it is powered by Unisoc 6531E which is powerful enough for the Series S30+ OS.
It has 800 mAh battery that should make it run for 18 days and provide 12 hours of talk time on a single charge. The battery will be charged through a micro-USB connector. Internal memory is large enough to store 2000 contacts and up to 500 text messages. There is also a torch built in, which is a nice addition
This phone is rather pivotal for Nokia Mobile since it is the most sold feature phone in the world which is lubricating the rusty wheels of the company. Nokia 105 Africa edition will be sold only in Africa.
Thanks Eero for the tip 😉
