Nokia Mobile updated the official update tracker on September 2, 2020

Nokia Mobile updated its Smartphone Security Maintenance Release Summary page on September 2, 2020. The summary briefly presents the details about the first date of the security patches (SP) and/or maintenance releases (MR) for Nokia smartphones, along with the SP version and the Software (SW) ID.

As per the update summary, the August update has now reached out to Nokia C1, Nokia 1.3, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 2.3, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 5.3, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8.1, and Nokia 9 PureView.

However, after receiving the Android 10 update in July along with the June security patch, Nokia 1 has not received any new updates. Similarly, Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 3.1 Plus also have not received the August update yet. Android 10 Go update for Nokia 2.1 arrived this month. Even though Google has officially released the Android 11 yesterday, but Nokia Mobile is yet to release the promised Android 10 updates for the Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1.

To find the information about your device in the summary, select your Nokia smartphone from the drop-down menu and find the SW ID that resembles the one that you have on your device in the ‘About’ section in the ‘Settings’.

Note: Funnily enough, the updated summary wrongly shows the details of the August update for Nokia 8 Sirocco under the alias ‘Nokia 4.1’, which doesn’t exist in real life.
