Android 10 Go roll-out started for the Nokia 1 with June security update

After a delay of about one week from the scheduled month, Nokia Mobile finally announced the roll-out of Android 10 Go for Nokia 1. As Nokia Mobile says, for a smooth roll-out, the update will be dispatched in two waves.

10% of the wave 1 markets will receive the update on July 7, 50% by July 10, and 100% by July 12.

The first wave includes the following markets:

  • Bangladesh
  • Cambodia
  • India
  • Indonesia
  • Laos
  • Malaysia
  • Myanmar
  • Nepal
  • Philippines
  • Singapore
  • Sri Lanka
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

The update brings the Android 10 Go version V3.090 and June 2020 security update. The update size is 859 MB.

The users in the unlisted markets need not worry, as they will receive the update as soon as Nokia Mobile receives the approval in those markets, or when the Wave 2 begins.

Nokia Mobile can release the updates only if they get the approvals. For more information, Nokia Mobile has also answered the frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the update process, describing the approved markets and waves in which the devices receive the update.
