Video: First unboxing of the new Nokia 1.3 with new box design

The Nokia 1.3 is slowly making its way across the world. The new Android GO phone from Nokia Mobile appeared on regional webpages across Europe and went on pre-orders on markets like the US and the Philippines. The first unboxing and hands on video of the Nokia 1.3 that we spotted appeared online and was done by Tech Travel Geeks.

As you can see in the video, the device comes with a 5W charger and a replaceable battery in the box. There are no headphones, at least not for the UK market where the device was purchased. It’s also great that the phone doesn’t have a hybrid SIM slot, but 2 nano-SIM card slots and a MicroSD card slot.

Other specifications include Snapdragon 215, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 5.71″ screen, 8MP rear camera, 3000mAh battery and Android 10 Go Edition as the OS.

You can also notice that the box doesn’t have the iconic handshake, but rather just the illustration of the device. The Nokia logo is in the black color now on a white background, just like it is with the Nokia 5310. I preferred the handshake illustration more, mainly because of the reference to old times, but maybe this new one will do a better job in presenting the whole device to the customer when the customer sees the box. On the other hand, you don’t really get to see the box in retail store, so maybe this change is just for the sake of change?
