Nokia Mobile submitted the first design patent request in 2020

Nokia Mobile, actually HMD Global filed a new patent request at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The application 007537527-0001 was filed on January 21, which coincides with the date of BT SIG certification for the Nokia TA-1207. This first patent request in 2020 could refer to a new affordable smartphone that could be announced at MWC2020, but could easily be something else, a Nokia fitness tracker for example. HMD Global requested for deferment of first publication, which means that the photo documentation of the patent os protected and will be available publicly later on.

Anyway, this is making things interesting, since a new Nokia device whose design is worth protecting is coming soon.
