Google Ambient Mode finally showed up on our Nokia 7.2. This mode allows you to better use the smartphone’s display while charging. It will show you some information on the screen like weather, photos, notifications so you could have it on glance while the phone is rested on the bedside table and connected to a charger. You can even use Google assistant by your voice if you allow it. Also, you can control the amount of information showed in the settings which are pretty hard to find. To do that, you need to do the following:
Phone settings > Google > Account services > Search, Assistant & Voice > Google Assistant > Assistant (swipe to the right) > Assistant devices -Phone > Ambient display – On, go down to Personalisation.
When you connect your phone to the charger, the Ambient Display option will automatically turn on.
Users of Nokia 6.1 are also reporting the availability of Ambient display. So, if you like or need this option, do check if it is available.
