History of Nokia phones from 1982 till 2020 (video)
|Nokia has a long history that goes from 1865 when Fredrik Idestam established a pulp mill near the Finnish city of Tampere. The only thing longer than Nokia’s history is the number of phones this Finnish company launched. Everything started with Nokia Mobira senator, a huge telecommunication unit back in 1982 when I was still in diapers.
Nokia stopped producing phones in 2013 when Microsoft officially took over the Devices and Services department on September 3rd. The last phone announced under the Nokia name was Nokia Lumia 730, and after that, we had to wait till MWC2017 when Nokia Mobile announced Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6, together with the new Nokia 3310. From then on, Nokia continued launching new Nokia phones, with the last one currently being Nokia 5.4 in December 2020.
The reason for this brief history of Nokia phones is the video I just stumbled upon on YouTube, which shows all the Nokia phones till Nokia C1, announced in December 2019, in 29 minutes. The year 2020 was also fruitful for Nokia Mobile, but that is not the point of this video. I was able to find the first Nokia phone I had a chance to use, Nokia 6110, and that was way back in 1998. Do mark the first Nokia phone you had and share that in the comments.
Do check out the video and walk through the memory lane of your youth days. I hope that BLASTERTECHNOLOGY will update the video which was published on March 2020.
