Nokia 2.2 can take excellent low-light photos

Nokia 2.2 not only that is the cheapest Android One running phone but is also the cheapest phone to come with AI that improves the night shot. I was a bit doubtful of the whole improved low-light photography thing when the phone was announced.

Entry smartphone that can shoot great low light images is a good bedtime story for young kids told by elderly people. Then I saw shots taken by Nokia 2.2, and couldn’t believe what I saw. Don’t get me wrong, smartphones of today can create better low light shots, but these you can see below were taken by Nokia 2.2 that costs approximately €120 or less in some markets.

First of all, these photos are not really low light since there is a lot of artificial light sources, but the absence of the Sun is obvious, and thus the shots can get a bit noisy. Additionally, the 13MP shooter of Nokia 2.2 with the aperture of f/2.2, and 1.12µm pixels is not the best for low light photography also. Color representation is great at all shots when you take into account they were made by the Nokia 2.2. I don’t know when will Nokia Mobile send us a review unit for a spin, but I’m looking forward to playing with it and testing its camera.
