Nokia X6 second best selling product in JD store. Nokia 7 got new, attractive price!

The popularity of the Nokia X6 in China is undisputed. Four batches of Nokia’s first smartphone with a notch have been sold out completely, and a lot of people are leaving positive feedback about the device. JD, one of two stores where Nokia X6 is officially available in China, just announced that X6 is their second best selling product. Nokia’s official Weibo account proudly shared the news. This announcement is great for HMD Global and for the “project X” of Nokia smartphones that could easily see its global launch.

The notch isn’t solely responsible for the success of the X6, its price and cleverly stacked up hardware are probably the biggest contributors to it. Anyway, great sales and customer reviews might push HMD Global to spread the notched Nokia series around the globe.

When you visit the JD store and check the prices of latest Nokia phones, it is interesting to see that the X6 is more expensive than the Nokia 7, which is also China exclusive. Nokia X6 costs ¥1699 (approx. €225), while you can now get a black version of the Nokia 7 for just 1189, which is close to €158. Nokia 7 used to be double that price, but JD obviously wanted to speed up the sales. Maybe the reason could be in the possible soon coming of Nokia 7.1? The current model has parts of hardware that could be updated, but that doesn’t mean that the Nokia 7 isn’t a good purchase with 16 MP camera, ZEISS optics, Bothie and great screen.
