Redmi K30 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G going after Nokia 8.3 5G
When I saw the first renders of Redmi K30 Pro, I wondered if Nokia Mobile sold the Nokia 8.3 project to Xiaomi and just took the 7.3 model instead. According to many rumors about the Nokia 8.2, the announced Nokia 8.3 5G should have looked like Redmi K30 Pro with full screen and pop-up front-facing camera. We’ll all agree that Nokia 8.3 5G looks stunning in that Polar Night color, and there are some good hardware specs, but that chin and hole-punch selfie camera are something I didn’t hope to see, at least not with Nokia 8.3 5G.
Anyways, we got what we got and Nokia Mobile needs to build up its tactics with this model. But, now when Redmi K30 Pro is officially announced at a price of approximately €399, which will give a buyer almost the same or better specs (SD865, faster charging) than Nokia 8.3 5G. You got to wonder if extra 5G bands, ZEISS optics, and a bit larger screen are worthy of your €599 sometimes in Q2.

We still don’t know when or iff will Redmi K30 Pro be available in the rest of the world, but then Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G came to the world with pretty much the same hardware specs as Nokia 8.3 5G and for almost half of its price (€350 in China*edit).
So, if you check these two devices, it is clear as a day that Nokia Mobile will have a rough time selling Nokia 8.3 5G, especially since we don’t know the date of device availability. If Nokia 8.3 5G came with a pop-up camera, bezel-less screen, and a lower price, the device could be competitive at the market. Now, its ZEISS camera and algorithms, together with the superb design are the only things that might be worthy of checking it out. I know we are all eager to get our hands on the device, and it will be interesting to compare it with Redmi and Mi phones.
