Poco F9 Ultra Energy Label Leaks: 8,050mAh Battery, Lower Drop Resistance

Poco F9 Ultra

The Poco F9 Ultra is set to be officially unveiled tomorrow alongside the F9 Pro, but key details have already surfaced through an EPREL energy label leak. Although the full database entry is not yet publicly accessible, the leaked label provides a clear picture of the phone’s efficiency rating, battery endurance and durability scores.

Battery endurance improves significantly

According to the leaked energy label, the Poco F9 Ultra receives an A rating for energy efficiency. More importantly, it shows a substantial increase in battery life compared to its predecessor.

The official endurance figure listed for the Poco F9 Ultra is 80 hours and 44 minutes, up from 67 hours on the Poco F8 Ultra. This suggests that real-world usage time between charges will be noticeably longer, even if the exact test conditions are not fully disclosed.

The battery is rated for 1,000 charge cycles, the same as the previous model, indicating that long-term battery health expectations remain unchanged.

Earlier leaks have pointed to an 8,050mAh battery for the Poco F9 Ultra. That would be a major increase over the 6,500mAh cell in the Poco F8 Ultra, though still smaller than the 9,070mAh battery found in the Redmi K100 Pro Max, on which the F9 Ultra is reportedly based.

Durability rating drops for drop resistance

While battery endurance improves, the Poco F9 Ultra appears to have lost some ground in physical durability. The leaked label shows a C rating for drop resistance, down from an A rating on the 2025 Poco F8 Ultra.

Other durability metrics remain stable:

  • Ingress protection: IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, unchanged from the previous model.

  • Repairability: C rating, also unchanged.

The lower drop-resistance score may reflect design compromises linked to the larger battery, new internal layout or different materials. It could also indicate that the phone is more vulnerable to damage from falls than its predecessor, despite retaining IP68 protection.

Confirmed chipset and model lineup

Poco has already confirmed the core hardware for the upcoming F9 series:

  • Poco F9 Ultra: Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

  • Poco F9 Pro: Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V-series chipset and, according to leaks, a 6,330mAh battery.

The F9 Ultra’s combination of a flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and an 8,050mAh battery positions it as a performance-focused device with an emphasis on endurance, targeting users who prioritize long battery life alongside top-tier processing power.

With the global launch scheduled for tomorrow, official specifications, pricing and availability details should be confirmed shortly.
