Waze alerts are coming to Google Maps

Google Maps has gradually incorporated many features from Waze since the company acquired it a decade ago. According to users’ reports on social media, police alerts now pop up vehicle displays with Android Auto, but they don’t specify whether it’s a speed trap or something else.

The rollout of Waze features to Google Maps and Android Auto is still being phased at the moment, and only a small number of users can see the change.

Google promised that it would start showing traffic and police information on Maps and Android Auto, as well as other types of alerts, such as accidents from public sources.

Apple CarPlay is also mentioned, which means that iOS users should start receiving such notifications on their car displays.
