Nokia 105 (2024) gave place to HMD 105
|Not so long ago, HMD did something I thought wasn’t the right move. The company announced both the HMD 105 and the Nokia 105 on their website. Back in the day, we would joke about various companies copying Nokia feature phones, and HMD practically did the same by slapping their logo onto a Nokia feature phone.
So, for a short period, you could see both the HMD 105 and the Nokia 105 on their website. However, it seems that someone made a mistake and followed the old roadmap plan for the release of feature phones since the Nokia 105 (2024) has been removed from the website. This indicates that HMD will only be announcing Nokia Originals as part of their revamped business strategy, while future feature phones will be solely branded as HMD. or we might be seeing some regular Nokia feature phones in the future… Not clear as the Nokia feature phone business is keeping HMD afloat.
Although several devices with the Nokia brand were launched this year, it all looks like the Nokia could be slowly fading out of the market, which might align with the plan of the Nokia Corporation to detach completely from their phone history (or leave it in the past).
