HMD’s Proper Nod to Nokia Roots

Although I’m not a fan of the UNISOC-powered entry phones that HMD has been pushing lately, I do like their change in design language. Actually, it is not a change but a return to the roots that Nokia started, and HMD continued several years ago.

Skyline and Arrow seem to be ready for announcement and launch, as their Geekbench results are already out. HMD traditionally doesn’t use powerful chips but rather the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 4nm and UNISOC Tanggula 760 6nm. While the basic specs might not be overwhelming for some, the design of the devices definitely might be.

According to the leaks provided by smashx_60, the design of the future devices is great (better than the Pulse). But even better is the design of accessories like 30W chargers and wired earphones. Actually, the colours used are reminiscent of Lumia devices. The colours are not as saturated as in Lumia devices but are better than what we are currently seeing. Earbuds remind me of those Colour Pop wired buds Nokia used to make. Those accessories were cheap, nicely built with good sound quality.

How do you like it?
