HMD to Launch One Final Farewell Nokia Smartphone?

The title might be a bit dramatic, but HMD’s meme Twitter account is suggesting that HMD might bring the final Nokia smartphone to the market. In its latest tweets, the account mentioned that the future of Nokia-branded phones will be limited to the Nokia Original-Series, the classic Nokia Number-Series, and one final Nokia smartphone, named the Final Model (10).

While it’s uncertain if this is feasible, the contract between HMD and Nokia is set to expire next year. Therefore, HMD could still release this final model and provide some support. Nokia would likely need to give its approval, but since they endorsed all those Unisoc Nokia phones, there’s no reason they wouldn’t bless one final Nokia smartphone, especially if it features a new, stunning body that honors the Fabula design. This would finally give us a Nokia with Android in a design that appeals globally.

Additionally, HMD Meme’s account also tweeted a list of all upcoming HMD phones. The tweet outlines HMD’s strategy, indicating a plan to release a wide range of phones to fill the gaps left by Nokia models. This strategy includes budget-friendly phones similar to the Nokia C series, budget 5G devices like the Nokia G series, and proper midrange phones like the Nokia X series. Here is the list of all devices that are coming:

Budget Friendly

  • HMD Aura
  • HMD Pulse
  • HMD Pulse+
  • HMD Pulse Pro
  • HMD Arrow

Budget 5G Devices

  • HMD Ridge
  • HMD Waylay

High-Midrange 5G

  • HMD Xenon
  • HMD Skyline

US Exclusive

  • HMD Vibe
  • HMD Atlas

HMD is also targeting the feature phone market, which suggests that Nokia might completely exit the phone brand market next year. The list of feature phones indicates that HMD plans to fill the void left by Nokia. Besides the Icon and Model series, HMD will introduce the RT series, which could mean “retro.” Here is the list:

HMD Feature Phones

  • HMD Model-Series
  • HMD Icon-Series
  • HMD RT-Series

Overall, HMD seems poised to continue supporting the Nokia brand in various capacities, potentially culminating in a final flagship smartphone that could honour the legacy of Nokia phones. Now, I can’t be sure whether the info is legitimate, but judging from the previous info this account tweeted, it might be.
