HMD to reveal more details about Project Fusion soon?
Fusion by HMD is a project that the Finns announced at MWC2024 and have kept well under wraps. The story behind it involves combining the future HMD device with smart outfits and various add-on gadgets that the community and interested third parties could develop. The idea is similar to Moto Mods but dates even further back to 2014 when Jolla introduced the other half.
HMD has launched a Fusion development toolkit and some renders of the possible smart outfits, but nothing more than this. Now, HMD’s Instagram profiles in Australia, Benelux, and France have posted a graphic hinting that we might soon learn more about the Fusion project.
The graphic clearly shows add-ons, which might have various use cases or purposes. Also, maybe HMD is revealing which markets could see the Fusion phone first?
Anyway, we’ll be monitoring the vastness of the Internet because I’m interested in what Fusion will bring and how well HMD will implement it. Qwerty keyboard similar to Mr Mobile’s Clicks for iPhone as suggested by a fan from Down Under is a nice idea.
