Nokia Mobile’s new teaser; Nokia G42 5G in So Pink listed by retailers
It’s a trend that brands try to incorporate “Colour of the Year” into the colour palette for their portfolio, be it officially or unofficially. Motorola used Pantone’s Color of the Year 2022 – Very Peri and 2023 – Viva Magenta for its edge 30 lineup. This year, we saw Nokia Mobile jump on the bandwagon as it used the Coloro + WGSN: Colour of the Year 2023 – Digital Lavender for the So Purple colour on the Nokia G42 5G.
So Grey is the other shade in which the device was made available during the global launch, while the third colour option, So Pink, was supposed to come later. Today, the company posted a video teaser with a pink background hinting at the sooner availability of the said colour variant.

Although there are no official details on the regions that will get this colour, retailers in Australia have listed the 6/128 GB variant of the Nokia G42 5G in So Pink, with one of them even mentioning the stock to be “due tomorrow.”
The colour is similar to Pop Pink on the Nokia 2660 Flip. Both the devices in Pink would have been a natural fit in this year’s Barbie movie, given its Pink theme. However, HMD Global and movie sponsorships probably do not go hand in hand anymore for obvious reasons.
