Nokia Mobile is new official sponsor of the Ice Hockey World Championship

Finland is going to be home to the next Ice Hockey World Championship and Nokia is one of the leading official partners.  Even the arena where the games will be played is named Nokia Arena, and that name will stay there for the following 5 years. Now the IIHF announced that Nokia Mobile is also becoming one of the official partners of the World Championship. This means that Nokia phones are going to have a stronger presence at the events and games, and maybe even become the official (smart)phones of the whole Championship. I wish that Nokia Mobile could have a bit different phone portfolio and be able to offer more than the Nokia G21 and the rest of the entry devices.

To announce the latest news, Nokia Mobile released a new promotional video which demonstrates in a funny way the toughness of the Nokia XR20. And, I can confirm that in case they lack a puck, they can use the XR20.

Nokia was always sponsoring sporting events in the past, and I’m happy to see Nokia and Nokia Mobile doing it again. This will definitely help sell the XR20 which proved to be a nice and durable smartphone. I’ve been using it for months now as a daily driver, and although its camera can match the camera of Nokia 8.3, the phone is working so well that I forgot about 8.3 5G.

Thanks singhnsk and Matti Meikäläinen for the tip 😉
