Nokia Mobile updated the official update tracker on July 7, 2020
|Nokia Mobile updated its Smartphone Security Maintenance Release Summary page on July 7th, 2020. The summary briefly presents the details about the first date of the security patches (SP) and/or maintenance releases (MR) for Nokia smartphones, along with the SP version and the Software (SW) ID.
All the eligible Nokia smartphones, which are Nokia 1, Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 1.3, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 2.3, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 5.3, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 8 Sirocco, and Nokia 9 PureView, are already receiving the June 2020 security update.
Also, a new Android 10 Go build version V1.160 started rolling out on July 3 with the June security update for the Nokia 1.3, though a separate update with only the security patch has been rolling out for the device since June 22. Nokia 1 finally received the Android 10 Go update starting July 7 with the June security update.
However, Nokia Mobile is yet to release the Android 10 update for Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1, and Android 10 Go update for Nokia 2.1, which we can expect to arrive this month.
It is worth noting that Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, and Nokia 8, which entered into the quarterly security update cycle in October, 2019 will get their second last (quarterly) security update this month (July). However, the July security updates are yet to go live for the Nokia smartphones.
To find information about your device in the summary, select your Nokia smartphone from the drop-down menu and find the SW ID, that resembles the one that you have on your device in the ‘About’ section in the ‘Settings’.
