Nokia Mobile updated the official update tracker (June 1, 2020)

Nokia Mobile updated its Smartphone Security Maintenance Release Summary page on June 1st, 2020. The summary briefly presents the details about the first date of the security patches (SP) and/or maintenance releases (MR) for Nokia smartphones, along with the SP version and the Software (SW) ID.

As per the updated summary, many of the phones have received the May 2020 security update including the new Nokia 5.3, Nokia 1.3, and Nokia C2, which also received a new Android 9 Go build version V1.070. However, Nokia Mobile is yet to release the May security patch for some of the phones like the Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 6.1, and Nokia 7.1.

Surprisingly, Nokia 7 Plus is already receiving the much-awaited Maintenance Release (MR) along with the May security patch since May 22. It is in the form of a new Android 10 build version V4.15D. Also, in this month, Nokia Mobile will release the Android 10 update for Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1, and Android 10 Go update for Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 1.

To find information about your device in the summary, select your Nokia smartphone from the drop-down menu and find the SW ID, that resembles the one that you have on your device in the ‘About’ section in the ‘Settings’. You can also check our update tracker, which we update as soon as Nokia Mobile releases any new update for its smartphones.

If you have any questions on the update roll-out process, Nokia Mobile has also answered the frequently asked questions (FAQs), describing the approved markets and waves in which the devices receive the update.

Also, it seems that the Nokia Mobile’s official update tracker page is still showing the previous update (May 12, 2020) in many countries.
