Photo: Unboxing of Nokia 5.3 and a quick camera demo

The first unboxing photos of the black Nokia 5.3 version are coming from Taiwan. This smartphone announced at the online event Nokia Mobile held on March 19, is coming with Snapdragon 665, 6.55” HD+Gorilla 3 covered display, quad camera system at the back and 4000 mAh battery. The phone is also coming in a redesigned box, and here are the photos of it and its content.

While most of the people in the world are buying a black version of the smartphones, I like the sand and cyan color of Nokia 5.3. In the new refreshed box comes the not so refreshed content. There is a standard charger (for Taiwan market here), micro USB-c and USB cable, and classic Nokia earphones. The phone is coming with a rather large chin on the front of the device, and a teardrop notch which is small enough to not notice it. The design seems clean, with a nicely shaped aluminum frame and camera module that is housing four cameras. I like to see the dual SIM tray with additional space for the SD card here instead of hybrid tray.

The Taiwanese page also did a quick camera demo and posted full quality photos on their page. I must say that the 13 MP camera seems to be doing a great job for a close to 200€ worth device. The 5 MP wide camera does give a bit blurry photos while 2 MP macro camera could be further improved by software updates.

What do you think of Nokia 5.3? This could be a nice affordable mid-range phone if the price hits the sweet spot.
