Nokia 1.3 officially announced

At today’s virtual launch event, Nokia Mobile announced a new Android Go device – the Nokia 1.3. The 1.3 comes with Android 10 in the Android Go edition, that is meant for budget devices.

Nokia 1.3 specifications:

  • OS: Android 10 GO
  • SoC: Snapdragon 215
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Internal storage: 16GB, MicroSD card support
  • Display: 5.71” HD+ Selfie notch 19:9 1520*720
  • Rear camera: 8MP AF
  • Front camera: 5MP FF
  • Connectivity: WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, BT 4.2
  • Battery: 3000mAh, 5W charging
  • Other: Google Assistant button, FM Radio, Google Go Camera

The Nokia 1.3 comes with rounded edges and overall a nice design, that reminds me of some devices from the Nokia Lumia series. On the front we have a 5.71-inch HD screen, with a teardrop notch that looks too intrusive for my taste on the renders. Beside the usual power and volume buttons, the 1.3 also has a Google Assistant button.

As a budget device, the Nokia 1.3 comes with the budget Snapdragon 215, but also features a 3000mAh battery. The 1GB of RAM is enough for Android GO, while the 16GB storage will probably need a MicroSD card to expand the storage, which Nokia 1.3 supports. The device is charged via the legacy MicroUSB port and also features a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone will be available in Charcoal, Cyan and Sand colors. It should go on sale in early April at a global average price of EUR 95.
