Rumor: Nokia 5.3 is coming with Snapdragon 665
|Nokia 5.3, also known as Captain America, popped up on the Geekbench test which showed that the phone will be coming with a processor that is similar or the same as Snapdragon 660. Some rumors suggested that the device will not be coming with still great but a bit outdated SD660, but rather with Snapdragon 665. Numerous sources confirmed that info, and now the same person that tweeted a photo of a prototype Nokia 5.3 stated that that the device is coming with Snapdragon 665. Some might argue that there isn’t a big difference between 660 and 665, and they are almost right. Both processors perform almost the same, but 665 does get better results in some tests since it is coming with a better GPU (Adreno 612) and it is built in a 11 nm process which means it will consume less power.
Notebookcheck did a nice (as always) comparison between those two processors which you can check here. Now folks won’t be crying about getting an old processor since SD665 is only a year old, and will be supported longer than 660.
By the way, the same source was busy tweeting and also confirmed some previous rumors about Nokia 5.3. The device should be coming with 4000 mAh battery, large 6.55-inch hd+screen with a teardrop notch, Android 10 out of the box, dedicated macro camera, but also 128 GB of internal memory which is a bit strange for the price range (4/64 GB arrangement is more real to me) . Nokia 5.3 should be available in charcoal, cyan green, and sand color options which is nice.
So, this Nokia 5.3 seems like a great mid-ranger and if the price of €169 stays, it will be able to withstand the attacks from the competition.
