Nokia won the GTI 2020 Award for its 5G FastMile Gateway
|GTI announced winners of its GTI 2020 Awards. The awards were given for the solutions and technologies that were launched in 2019. This year Nokia’s name didn’t manage to be included in the Innovative Breakthrough in Mobile Technology Award, but it did win the Innovative Mobile Service and Application Award for its 5G FastMile gateway. The 5G gateway was developed together with Optus tp create a unique way to experience the 5G networks for the users in Australia.

Nokia is rather happy with the award, and so are we at Nokiamob since the 5G gateway is showing that Nokia still can create mass market products. maybe the investors would like to see Nokia being mentioned in the first group together with Huawei and Ericsson. Next year we could see it because of the 5G network slicing.
GLOMO awards were also revealed, and Nokia wasn’t mentioned in both consumer products and network sections. Well, this MWC was kind of special so we don’t mind 🙂
