Nokia overtook Ericsson in the Microwave Transmission market

Where traditional ways of data transfer are not possible, microwave transmission is used. While the Microwave market did decline a bit in 2019, it is still an interesting business where Huawei Nokia and Ericsson are leading the way. While Huawei is still the largest vendor, the second place has changed. Nokia took it from Ericsson which is now in third place. The significance in this is that it happened for the first time in the long history of these Nordic telco companies.

Nokia has been investing a lot in the Microwave business and started Microwave Anyhaul platform to reshape networks.
