Nokia 6.2 case leak contradicts design rumors, claims wireless charging support

Case leaks are usually very sketchy, because a lot of case makers in the battle to be first on the market use renders and mock-ups to represent the phone the case is for. Regarding the upcoming Nokia phones that we should see at IFA2019 – the Nokia 5.2, 6.2, and 7.2, we already saw a Nokia 7.2 case leak and claims that Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 share the same housing. I personally don’t really trust these leaks that much.

The latest case leak that was shared via Slashleaks suggest a different design of the Nokia 6.2 from the leaks we saw some time ago. The phone on the case spotted at Amazon.es looks like the OnLeaks renders shared in January 2019. That begs the question what happened to that device? Will it be the Nokia 6.2? Is it re-positioned as Nokia 5.2 or is it cancelled?

Another interesting things is that the case claims support for wireless charging. Regardless if that info is correct, it would be really great to see again mid-range Nokia device that supports wireless charging. Nokia Mobile could also strengthen their accessories offering with more wireless chargers if more device supported that handy feature.

We will know how credible these pictures are on 5th September when HMD Global scheduled a press event a day before IFA2019 in Berlin.
