Rumor: Nokia 6.2 basic specifications leaked

IThome portal just shared probable specification of future Nokia 6.2. According to them, Nokia 6.2 is going to be based on Nokia X71, with 6 inches large 2K AMOLED screen and hole punch front-facing camera. At the back, we should see the triple camera module. The front-facing camera should have 13 MP sensor, while the cameras at the back will come in 20+8+5 MP combination. The main camera will have 20 MP sensor while 8 MP one could be for ultra-wide shots and 5 MP for depth perception. The processor will be two years old Snapdragon 660 followed by maximally 6GB of RAM, which is nice. Many won’t be happy with the usage of the old processor, but 660 is still capable and will be able to run the next version of Android. Everything will be powered by 3300 mAh battery that should make this phone running for a one day.

The price for 4GB+64GB version should be around 1199 Yuan or €156, while the 6GB+64GB version should be priced around 1499 Yuan or €195. Bear in mind that those prices are probably meant for the Chinese market and that the global price will be a bit higher.

Let’s recap the basic specs:

  • Screen:  6-inch AMOLED, 2280×1080,
  • Main camera: 20MP+8MP+5MP
  • Front camera: 13 MP
  • Processor: Snapdragon 660, 2.3 GHz
  • Memory: 4GB/6GB RAM + 64GB internal memory
  • Battery: 3300 mAh
  • Price: 4GB/€156 – 6GB/€195

Anyway, this seems to be legit to me because I kind of expected X71 to be the next Nokia 6.2. There was plenty of time to do this at MWC, especially if the processor didn’t change. Hopefully, HMD will announce it in August. It is about time to do it :). Also, I would be happier with Snapdragon 710, but hey, this is going to be as powerful as Nokia 7 Plus, and that is still a powerful device. What do you guys think?

Thanks Mer.Alain for the tip 😉
