Duel: Nokia 8.3 5G vs Sony Xperia 1 II in cinematic video shooting

Nokia 8.3 5G and Sony Xperia 1 II seemingly don’t have anything in common, except both phones are running Android and claim to have the best camera of their brand. Actually, the common thing is the use of ZEISS technologies and software in both camera and the app. WillItBeatNokia? already did a camera comparison test of the two, and now this YouTube channel is trying to find the winner of Cinematic video comparison.

After watching the video, all I noticed is that Nokia 8.3 5G creates a bit sharper video than Sony Xperia 1 II does, but it has also more noise. That can be noticed when the light is a bit lower (road video around the 4th minute). Xperia’s video is a bit softer there, and some might like that. Sound recording of Nokia 8.3 is better for my ears, kind of richer, more4 spacious, but Xperia 1 II also records a nice sound.

WillItBeatNokia gave the most points to Nokia 8.3 5G, which is the correct thing to do after seeing all the video samples. I expected a bit more of Xperia 1 II, but Nokia Mobile did a better job here. I hope that they will work a bit ore on ultra low light videos so that we don’t have to see the noise in our footage or recordings.

There is a difference between these two phones that can be seen in video, and Nokia 8.3 5G is much better choice for cinematic video shooting. What do you think?
