Nokia 1 Plus was a charming surprise of the MWC2019, at least for me. While Nokia 1 was cute, especially in the colors of the Nokia 3310 (2017), its hardware couldn’t deliver much of the wanted smartphone capabilities. Nokia 1 Plus could be a low-end device that will mimic the best behaviour of much pricier smartphones. Well, I got to say that I spent maybe 15 minutes with the device at the MWC19 so the final judgement will have to be set after a proper test is performed. Anyway, until it comes to Nokiamob, folks in Ireland or the UK can test it before us since it now available in Argos. You can buy it in red (which I suggest) or black for €109.
Nokia 1 Plus has 5.45 inch HD screen, 2500 mAh battery, Mediatek MT6739WW (28 nm) processor, 8 MP rear and 5 MP front camera, and it is running the GO version of Android 9 Pie. This phone seems to be the ideal entry point to the world of smartphones. It would be even better if HMD would offer removable back covers as an accessory that future owners could buy just to change the looks of their devices from time to time.
