New Nokia phones coming on February 25th at MWC18 in Barcelona

HMD Global’s CPO Juho Sarvikas teased on Twitter that we can expect an “awesome” MWC2018 in terms of Nokia phones. This is the ultimate confirmation, even though MWC hall map already revealed it, that HMD will take part in this year’s biggest mobile technology event on the planet. The same as last year, HMD is set to hold a press event a day before MWC officially starts.

Pocket-lint reports, that HMD Global will hold a press event on Sunday, 25th Febraury at 4pm CET (3pm GMT/10am EST). No further info about HMD’s conference was given, but we can assume that a live feed will be available and that we will see new Nokia devices.

Considering about how many Nokia devices in the pipeline we heard recently, I’m not really sure what we will see there. A global variant of Nokia 6 (2018) is expected, as well as the rumored flagship Nokia 9. Also, HMD could announce Nokia 7 globally and updated version of Nokia 3 and 5, that would make sense too. We also heard about a Nokia 3310 with 4G support and about a Nokia TA-1047 feature phone that supports 4G and could feature a QWERTY keyboard and maybe even carry the Asha brand. Not to forget, we also find signs of existence of a possible Nokia 4 and Nokia 7 plus, as well.

All in all, I think Juho is right and we can really expect an awesome MWC2018. 🙂
