Google: Nokia 3310 and Nokia 6 among most searched devices in 2017

In the year 2017, we saw the return of the Nokia brand to the smartphone market. After the sales of Devices and services division to Microsoft, it was hard to imagine that the brend will return the market it pioneered, but not impossible. Here we are, more than a year since HMD started operating and almost a year until the first anniversary of the announcement of HMD first device, the Nokia 6. Following GSMArena’s weekly list of most searched phones in their database, we noticed that Nokia 6 was always among the top 10 up until few weeks ago. In total, Nokia 6 accumulated about 27 million page visits in less than a year, and that’s similar to the number of page views of Nokia N9 during its lifetime.

Now, Google released the yearly statistic for the most searched term via their search engine. Two Nokia Devices landed on the top 10 most searched consumer products list. Nokia 3310 was the 6th most searched consumer tech term, while the Nokia 6 closed the list as number 10. The full list follows down below.

It’s quite an achievement for a newcomer to the mobile market, but with a familiar brand, to cause such search interest. This shows that the market is interested in what HMD has to offer, and is awaiting new and better devices. The decision to revive Nokia 3310 proved to be a great success – for jumpstarting the feature phone sales, as well as for brand recognition.
