|UPDATE: THIS IS NOKIA 8
Original article:
Today is the day many Nokia fans were waiting for, just like the beginning of the MWC2017 back in February. Nokia Mobile, or better say HMD Global, took evidently a novel approach of presenting eventual new products, and announced an event that will be held today in London, specifically, at the YouTube Space.
We are all waiting for the new phone to be unveiled. Nokia 8 to be exact, and it is OK to recap all the known specifications based on the previous leaks:
- 5.3-inch 2K display
- Snapdragon 835
- 4GB RAM
- 64GB storage
- 13MP dual-lens back camera with ZEISS branding
- 13MP front camera
- Android 7.1.1 (or 8)
- about €500 price tag
To be frank, we still don’t have any clue what will be shown today, especially when the hosts of the NokiaMobile show will be popular YouTubers hiding behind the aliases MoreAliA and Jonathan Morrison. Another peculiar thing is that Nokia Mobile won’t be streaming the event officially, neither will Nokia, since the instructions gave by the Nokia Mobile clearly tells that we should be watching above mentioned Youtuber’s channels for all the latest info. The events where the new phones are going to be unveiled are usually organised a bit differently, but then again, HMD might have a different and innovative approach which is incorporated in the ways this Finnish startup is functioning.

Anyway, the event will start at 7:30pm BST and we will be watching it carefully and post all the news here or eventually in new posts on the blog. The YouTube channels you should follow are MoreAliA and Jonathan Morrison.
So, if you are not there come back here for the news :).
See you in a few hours!
