Official: #Intel buys 15% stake in #Here
HERE officially announced that the tech giant Intel is entering the corporate structure of the company by buying 15% of shares from German automakers Audi, Daimler and BMW. This news comes only days after three Asia-based companies purchased 10% stake in HERE from the Germans. Nokia sold HERE to Daimler, BMW and Audi in 2015 for €2.8 billion.
Intel’s acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2017, after obtaining regulatory approvals.
