Vivo Announces OriginOS 7: Official Android 17 Update Roadmap Revealed

OriginOS 7

Vivo has officially unveiled OriginOS 7, its next-generation custom interface based on the highly anticipated Android 17 operating system. The new software architecture delivers comprehensive upgrades across the board, featuring a redesigned visual interface, smoother animations, and enhanced tools for productivity, connectivity, and security. Alongside the feature announcements, the company has released a detailed rollout roadmap, with the first updates scheduled to begin later this month.

While the official deployment calendar currently targets the Indian market, historical update patterns suggest that global users will receive their software patches within a similar timeframe. Notably absent from this initial list are smartphones from Vivo’s sister brand, iQOO, which are typically included in joint announcements. A separate update schedule dedicated exclusively to iQOO devices is expected shortly.

Vivo plans to conclude the entire rollout process by the end of February 2027, prioritizing its most powerful and recent flagship devices for the initial wave.
