Sarvikas leads Inseego in Nokia FWA global expansion

Now CEO of Inseego, Sarvikas is leading the acquisition of Nokia’s fixed wireless access (FWA) CPE business marking a major shift for both companies. For Inseego, this is a big leap. The US-focused company gains global reach, new operator relationships across Europe and Asia, and access to Nokia’s FastMile portfolio of indoor and outdoor 5G gateways. It also enters the consumer broadband space for the first time, complementing its enterprise-focused lineup.

The move could effectively double Inseego’s revenues while removing the growth ceiling it faced in North America.

For Nokia, the sale fits into its broader plan to streamline operations and focus on core network infrastructure and future technologies tied to the “AI supercycle.” Still, Nokia isn’t exiting the space completely. It will hold up to an 11% stake in Inseego and continue working closely with the company.

The partnership includes joint sales efforts and collaboration on future technologies like 6G and wireless edge, with FWA expected to play a role in AI-driven connectivity.

One key gain for Inseego is entry into high-growth markets like India, expected to become the world’s largest 5G FWA market by 2030.

The deal is expected to close in Q4 2026, and once again, Sarvikas finds himself connected to Nokia, this time driving growth from the outside.
