Nokia 225 4G might become HMD 225 4G
|Denokiasation at HMD continues with the Nokia 225 4G becoming the HMD 225 4G. The first devices to lose the Nokia brand in 2024 were the Nokia 105 (and Nokia 110), now known as HMD 105 and HMD 110. According to a leak by smashx_60, the same is being prepared for the Nokia 225 4G.
The specs won’t change, but here they are for the HMD 225 4G:
- Display: IPS LCD 2.4″ display, 400 nit
- Camera: 2 MP camera, HD video capture
- Battery: 1,450 mAh, USB-C
- Processor: Unisoc T107 SoC
- Connectivity: BT 5.0, 4G LTE, Dual SIM, FM Radio, 3.5mm jack
- Extra: IP52
With Nokia moving away from the phone market, this rebranding move is reasonable for HMD, the company that will continue its endeavours in the feature phone market. This could enable them to become the second-largest feature phone manufacturer, especially if consumers view them as the successor to the famous Nokia.
