Nokia won 63 commercial 5G deals

Back in June 2019, Nokia announced it won 42 commercial 5G deals. Half of the year later, the number of commercial 5G deals rose to 63. The paid network trials, pilots or demonstrations were not included, and that would definitely make Nokia a global leader in the delivery of 5G networks worldwide. The trip to the top wasn’t easy because of the chipset problems the Finns experienced, but that problem was addressed swiftly. The customers that accepted Nokia’s end-to-end solutions like AT&T, KDDI, Korea Telecom, LG Uplus, NTT DOCOMO, O2, SK Telecom, SoftBank, Sprint, STC, T-Mobile US, Verizon, Vodafone Italy, and Zain Saudi are well respected in the networking business. Some of those carriers are national wide which will help Nokia develope even better services, and position itself well for the future.

Huawei’s fall due to the US-China trade wars did help the situation, but Nokia’s end-to-end portfolio that includes products and services for every part of a network was vital in attracting the customers. Nokia is currently offering end-to-end products that cover all 5G network elements and are globally available.
