Nokia announced it won 42 commercial 5G deals

At the end of March, Nokia had 30 commercial 5G contracts signed with various operators. Two months ago Huawei was still in a game and to have the score of 30 deals is a big success. Today Nokia confirmed it has 42 signed commercial 5G deals what means that every week one new deal has been arranged. Operators like T-Mobile, Telia, and Softbank will be using Nokia’s vast 5G end-to-end portfolio, and Nokia also said that some previous 4G customers will be using more Nokia 5G equipment than they did during the expansion of 4G networks. Things are going well for Nokia since it seems that the scored more deals than any other vendors according to the official announcements. The deals were signed with many operators around the world, and Nokia is now looking forward to announcing its work with the operators in emerging markets like Latin America and India. Huawei is still a leader in the networking industry, but now when things are changing in the market, Nokia will be competing with the Swedish Ericsson to get more deals and ensure the strong second place.

Update – While I was writing this I missed the Reuters article where the estimates number of deals made by Huawei and Ericsson was provided. According to them, Huawei won 40 commercial 5G deals, while Ericsson only got 14. Thx MichaelsoftSirFaceFone for the info ;).
