Xiaomi Watch S5 Launched: Price, Specs, Features, and Battery Life

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi Watch S5, positioning it as a versatile sports smartwatch designed to combine health tracking, premium materials, and extended battery life in a single package.
The new wearable starts at 1,199 yuan, or roughly $175, for the standard version, while the eSIM model is priced at 1,399 yuan, approximately $205. Buyers can choose between black and silver finishes for the standard edition, while the eSIM variant is offered in Forged Carbon and Midnight Blue.
In terms of design, the Xiaomi Watch S5 features an integrated bezel structure housed in a 316L stainless steel case. Xiaomi is also introducing more distinctive premium finishes for select versions. The Midnight Blue model uses a ceramic bezel with 24 facets, while the Forged Carbon edition adopts a layered forging process intended to give the watch a more technical and upscale appearance. The crown also receives a concentric-circle texture for added visual detail.
Xiaomi is offering three stainless steel bezel versions, paired with different strap materials depending on the configuration. The black and silver models come with fluoroelastomer straps, while the eSIM edition combines a silver case with a gray leather strap.
On the health and fitness side, the Watch S5 debuts a new four-light, four-PD sensor system. According to Xiaomi, this setup achieves heart rate accuracy of up to 98.4%. Sleep monitoring has also been upgraded with a revised algorithm that improves sleep onset recognition and wake detection by around 11%.

The smartwatch is equipped with a 1.48-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480×480 and peak brightness of up to 2,500 nits, making it better suited for outdoor visibility. Xiaomi has also included a dual-frequency GNSS chip for more precise positioning, alongside a new cycling mode that supports cycling-computer functionality and compatibility with third-party Bluetooth power meters.
Battery life is another major selling point. Xiaomi says the Watch S5 can last up to 21 days on a single charge, reinforcing its appeal for users who want a smartwatch without frequent charging interruptions.
Beyond fitness, Xiaomi is continuing to deepen integration across its broader ecosystem. The Watch S5 supports the Xiaomi Auto app and can work with newer vehicles such as the Xiaomi SU7 and YU7. It can also connect with Xiaomi smart door locks, allowing users to view camera feeds directly from the watch.
