HMD Skyline Gets Android 15 Build Update

HMD Skyline has finally started receiving the long-awaited Android 15 build—update V2.390—which should improve performance and fix many issues. Unfortunately, Android 15 initially brought nothing but trouble: poor performance, bugs, and frustration for users of this once-promising device. HMD again proved that its software support leaves much to be desired.

The update (1.12 GB) includes UI fixes, system performance improvements, and the April security patch, which aligns with Skyline’s quarterly update schedule.

After installing and restarting the phone twice, I haven’t noticed major improvements. The camera app appears slightly updated, but image processing remains slow, night shots are oversharpened and results are still mediocre. The UI bug on the start screen seems to be fixed, though.
