HMD Partners with FC Barcelona and Unveils Skyline in Blue
FC Barcelona has a new supporter, HMD Global. The company announced that it will be supporting this iconic football club in all things mobile (probably some phones will be sent to the club too). An initial three-year deal has been signed, with the primary goal of raising awareness of HMD as a European company and its mobile phone products, especially now that Nokia phones are no longer in the spotlight.
HMD made a special video to celebrate this announcement:
This awareness campaign will be driven primarily through digital advertising opportunities at the Olympic Stadium, and later at the Spotify Camp Nou when it reopens later in the season. Additionally, the partnership between the two brands will extend beyond football. HMD will also support FC Barcelona’s basketball, futsal, handball, and roller hockey teams.
Following the announcement of the partnership with FC Barcelona, HMD unveiled the Skyline in a new color. The phone will now be available in Topaz Blue. While this color isn’t the cyan of the Nokia N9, it still looks fantastic.
The new blue version is available starting today on hmd.com. The price remains the same (£399 for the 8/128GB version and £499 for the 12/256GB version), although you might find it cheaper at some retailers.
How do you like the new colour?
